7 Signs your brand
is holding you back.
When to Consider a Rebrand:
#1 – The customers or clients that reach out to you are NOT the type of clients you are trying to work with. Early in business we tend to take any work that comes our way, but as you’ve become established it’s important to create a target audience and begin to focus on serving them to the best of your abilities.
#2 – You avoid giving your website out when someone asks for it because it honestly embarrasses you. You know you’re better at your job than how your website makes you look.
#3 – You are ready for more business.
#4 – Things don’t match. When you look at your different assets - Social Media, Website, Packaging - nothing matches. There are different colors, different fonts, and maybe even old versions of your logo in different places.
#5 – You don’t feel excited about your business anymore. You may feel burnt out in general. Maybe your mind has been wandering to new ideas, thinking that will help you feel motivated again.
#6 - You’ve outgrown your brand. Have you added new services? Does your brand strategy reflect where you are now or where you were 3 years ago?
#7 - You need to stand out. Do you feel like you see 15 other versions of your own business when you scroll through instagram? It’s easy to fall into design trends and pull from the same inspiration as your competition. When this happens for too long you need to break away from the crowd and do things differently, so your customers notice you.
If one or more of these signs apply to you you, it’s time for a refresh.
Just like a physical business makes updates to furniture, paint colors, and signage over time, a digital business space also needs to be refreshed and maintained.
